What We Do

Animal Impounding is a public initiative focused on managing stray, abandoned, or dangerous animals humanely and effectively. We work closely with community members to:

  • Safely capture and shelter roaming animals
  • Mediate human-wildlife conflicts
  • Promote public safety and animal welfare
  • Educate on responsible ownership and co-existence

Why It Matters

Stray and unattended animals can cause:

  • Traffic accidents (especially camels on roads)
  • Public fear and property damage
  • Health risks (via disease transmission)
  • Disruption to native ecosystems

Removing animals without proper protocols can backfire due to the Vacuum Effect, where new animals quickly repopulate cleared areas.

Why It Matters

Humane Treatment

Our Humane Approach

We believe in solutions that are:

  • Effective
  • Ethical
  • Environmentally sound

Our process includes:

  • Mediation: Understanding community concerns and educating on better practices
  • Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) for cats
  • Safe enclosure policies for camels
  • Humane deterrents for foxes and urban wildlife
  • Coordination with caretakers and pet owners

Community Responsibility & Collaboration

A safe community starts with responsible actions. Whether you're a resident or an animal owner, your role matters.

If You're a Resident

  • Avoid feeding stray or wild animals.
  • Use humane deterrents, not removal.
  • Report concerns via our hotline or QR code.

If You're an Animal Owner

  • Register and secure your animals.
  • Inspect fences and gates regularly.
  • Prevent your animals from roaming or causing harm.
